Make A Difference - Volunteer

Volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs and are vital to the success of many of our programs.  You can help in a variety of ways!  Generally, we need volunteers who are able to commit at least two hours per week, for at least three months. However, short-term projects and single-event opportunities do occasionally arise. You must have your own transportation.

Here are some ideas:

  • Become an Angel
  • Read a book with a child
  • Help a child do homework on the computer
  • Coach a sports team
  • Teach classes on painting, cooking, sewing, dancing or drama
  • Tutor kids who need help with homework
  • Officiate a game
  • Coach cheerleading
  • Run a pool, ping pong, or foosball tournament etc...

All volunteers will be asked to:

  • Complete a Volunteer Application Form.
  • Attend a conprehensive volunteer orientation.
  • Pass a background check to ensure volunteer suitability.
For more information and details on volunteering contact our Membership Coordinator at 760-324-5844.
